Gartner recommends idu-Concept for budgeting, forecasting and reporting

The world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, Gartner, has identified South African-based idu Software as a leading provider of dedicated budgeting, planning and forecasting applications.

Neil Chandler, research director for the Gartner Business Application and Process team reviewed how organizations can take advantage of packaged solutions to replace spreadsheet and legacy systems, in his research report, “Budgeting Solutions for the Midmarket”, 9 March 2009.

The report found that the complexity of the budgeting process is not differentiated for mid-sized companies when compared to those of large organizations, and that the structure and functional needs of a budgeting solution are consistent across enterprise size. The need for greater efficiencies is expected to double the demand for dedicated budgeting tools in this market space by 2012.

In their analysis of the market for specialist solutions Chandler lists local development company idu Software as a main provider for BP&F solutions, and is the only South African company included in the report.
