idu-Concept Light

Description

idu-Concept Light is a product marketed and distributed by the idu Group. It is a light version of the market leading iduConcept product for the larger corporations and is aimed at medium sized organisations. The idu-Concept Light product is built around the powerful MIS Module of idu-Concept which provides managers with an online view of the company’s actual expense and income with detailed drill downs and exception highlighting. In addition the iduConcept Light version includes budget capabilities designed to help streamline the budget and forecast capture process reducing it from months to weeks. Integrated reporting and Microsoft OLAP functionality provides the power to analyse data held in the system at the click of a button.

The User Interface

The system has been developed to maximise point and click technologies with a minimum of typing or manual intervention. This approach has ensured a user interface which is both functional and very easy to use, ensuring that all those non-financial managers are presented with a toolset which allows them to take ownership of their areas of responsibility, and more importantly, discharge that responsibility.

Management Reporting Module

idu-Mis module provides a web based browser interface, delivering financial information to users throughout the company. The ease of use provided by the interface ensures a high level of ownership and empowerment.

Facilities include

A drill down ability allowing analysis at a transactional level
On-line views include details of
- current month
- year to date, and
- variance analysis
- against either budgets and forecasts as well as last year actual values
Red lighting of adverse variances outside acceptable limits; and
The ability to capture explanations or comments.
A consolidation or aggregation tool in the MIS Summary module.

Reporting

The user module includes a suite of standard reports to enable the user to review and report on their budget. Additional reporting formats can be purchased from our extensive library.

In addition to this the Summary views enable managers to enquire on the actuals and budgets or forecasts by cost centre structure, account or and summary level established by the administrator with full functionality to drill down to the underlying detail.

Budget & Forecast Capture

The budget module provides the ideal tool to facilitate quick budget and forecasting with simple functions to ensure rapid capture and update.

Multiple Spread factors to accommodate business seasonality
A comments field
Budget signoff to signify completion status

Administrator

The administrator module provides the system administrator with a powerful and generic toolkit to manage the system.

Functionality includes the facility to define and maintain:

Multiple Companies, currencies, Fiscal sets and Spread factors
Add, delete and maintain accounts, cost centres, both posting and summary level as well as setting up and maintaining multiple structures to display and analyse summary data
Data imports and exports to facilitate integration with excel and financial systems.
Comprehensive security module and functions including access control at posting and summary level and profile maintenance to identify and control report and OLAP access.
